During the last month I had problems with my cat after I cleaned his ears. After that he got scared and just hid and refused to eat so you got quite worried. So I took him to the Vet but they couldn’t find anything obviously wrong with him. So I went home with him and kept the vet clinic updated. But nothing changed within the next few days after the visit so I needed to come back for another check and some blood tests which showed good values but that the thyroid was a bit high. So he got a shot for the nausea and then he started eating again as usual. But it didn’t last more than a few weeks before you had problems again and another visit to the vet. They took more extensive samples to see how the inside is doing. Over the course of a month, he has lost 0.8 kg in weight, which was alarming. The new samples showed that he had problems with the thyroid gland and also a high sink, which could be a sign that something in the body is inflamed. Which is not normal whit thyroid, so they want to X-ray the lungs and check the abdomen with ultrasound and also take some new blood samples to make sure that they don`t miss anything. So there will be another trip to the vet tomorrow.
Good thing the cat is insured or this could have been something far more expensive then it already is.
